In 1985, she was discovered by Raymond Wong Pak-Ming while arguing with her boyfriend, and joined Cinema City & Films Co. at under 16 years old, starting her acting career. Early on, she formed the "Happy Girls" group with Loletta Lee Lai-Chun, May Lo Mei-Wei and Charine Chan Ka-Ling, starring in the Happy Ghost series.
